Bottom valve is a system of shut-off valves designed to drain working fluid from channels, troughs and other systems operating under pressure up to 0.2 MPa.

Order

In general, the bottom valve design includes (see Fig. 1): screw assembly (1), crossheads with support plate (2), plugs (3), seats (4) and actuator (5). The screw assembly (1) is made of structural steel, the screw can be made of stainless steel. Crosshead with support pad (2), plug (3) and seat (4) are made of structural steel, plug (3) and seat (4) are partially rubberised with wear-resistant rubber. Operating principle of the bottom valve: the torque from the actuator is transmitted via the cam clutch to the travelling nut of the screw unit, which transmits the force to the plug via the screw, resulting in the opening/closing of the flow part of the bottom valve.
